OUR ANNOUNCERS

Known to Pitt fans nationwide as the "Voice of the Panthers," Bill Hillgrove will handle football play-by-play duties for the 39th consecutive year. His accurate and descriptive style truly paints the picture for Pitt fans listening to the network. Hillgrove has a long association with the Panthers and Pittsburgh sports scene. Prior to taking over as the play-by-play man for Pitt football, Hillgrove served as the Panthers' color analyst from 1970-73. He has also served as the play-by-play man for Pitt basketball broadcasts since 1969.

A popular and well-known Pittsburgh sports personality, Hillgrove has long been a Pitt ambassador of good will. In 2007 he was honored with the prestigious Chris Schenkel Award for excellence in college football broadcasting. Hillgrove has also been the Pittsburgh Steelers' play-by-play announcer since 1995.

Joining Hillgrove in the booth for his second year as color analyst will be former Pitt quarterback Pat Bostick. Bostick was a three-year letterman (2007-08, 2010) and quarterbacked the Panthers to such memorable victories as their 13-9 upset of West Virginia in 2007 and 36-33 quadruple-overtime win at Notre Dame in 2008.

In his debut season in the booth, Bostick made a tremendous impression on listeners with his keen insight and analysis. He will continue to be a frequently heard guest on 93.7 The Fan's various shows and he will also host his own college football show on a weekly basis.

A 2010 honors graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Bostick earned his bachelor's degree in just three years before beginning work on his master's degree in Pitt's School of Education. This past year he was named an assistant director of development for the Panther Club, the athletic department's official fundraising office.

New to the Pitt football broadcast team is Gregg Giannotti, who will serve as pregame host and sideline reporter. Giannotti is host of The Fan Morning Show on Pitt's flagship radio station, Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan. Prior to his 2010 arrival in Pittsburgh, Giannotti served as a producer and part-time host at WFAN in New York. He additionally has worked for Sirius Satellite Radio and the NHL.
