High School: Played quarterback as a senior at Red Land High, passing for 1,490 yards and 13 touchdowns...first-team All-Mid Penn Commonwealth Division selection at quarterback...honorable mention all-state...started at receiver as a junior and had 30 receptions for 429 yards (14.3 avg.) and eight touchdowns...played under Coach Frank Gay...earned three football letters...also a basketball standout and had scholarship offers in that sport as well...four-year basketball letterman...two-time "Big 15" honoree in basketball.
