Pitt Football Positional Preview: The Offense

The Pitt offense returns eight starters from last season

2015: Started all 13 games at left guard and was selected second team All-ACC by league coaches and media…extended his streak of consecutive starts to 27 games, dating back to his freshman season in 2013. 

2014: After lettering as a freshman, Johnson moved into a full-time starting role on Pitt's offensive line his sophomore year...started all 13 games at left guard.

2013: Became the first true freshman to start a game on Pitt's offensive line since 2006...played in 12 games overall, starting three contests...made two starts at left tackle (Nov. 2 at Georgia Tech and Nov. 16 vs. North Carolina) and one start at right guard (Dec. 26 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl vs. Bowling Green)...named to the ACC All-Bowl Team for his performance in the Panthers' 30-27 win over Bowling Green...helped Pitt produce 487 yards (255 rushing and 232 passing) vs. BGSU...lone missed contest was the opener vs. Florida State.
