2010: Joined Pitt in January as a mid-year enrollee out of Milford Academy (N.Y.) and went on to redshirt as a true freshman.

Prep School: Spent the 2009 fall semester at Milford Academy...played quarterback and helped the Falcons to an 8-5 record against a schedule comprised primarily of collegiate competition...was a 1,000-yard passer with 17 touchdowns...had scholarship offers from Temple and Navy.

High School: Was a standout quarterback at St. Joseph's Prep, earning All-Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) and All-City...threw for 1,200 yards and accounted for 15 touchdowns as a senior, helping team to an 8-4 record and the semifinals of the PCL playoffs...helped St. Joseph's to a three-year mark of 28-10 (.737) during his varsity career, including two PCL championship games...rated one of the top 45 prospects in Pennsylvania by Rivals..."ESPN Rise" All-Eastern Pennsylvania...selected to play in the Philadelphia City All-Star Game, where he set records for passing yards (175) and passing yards per attempt (13.5 avg.)...also played in the PSFCA East-West All-Star Game...in addition to football, also was a member of St. Joseph's nationally ranked lacrosse team as well as its track and field team...Academic All-State...John Spahr Award for Leadership and Excellence on and off the field.
