2010 PITT FOOTBALL RECRUITING CLASS ANNOUNCED

2011 Scouting Report: Returning letterman who is transitioning to the "Panther" position, a hybrid defensive end and linebacker in the 3-4 scheme...played as a true freshman last year as a defensive end in a 4-3 alignment.

2010: After being sidelined during fall training camp due to a right foot fracture, Murphy entered active duty on Oct. 23 against Rutgers...played in six games as a reserve defensive end to letter...had one tackle on the year (vs. Kentucky in the BBVA Compass Bowl).
