2013: Honorable Mention All-ACC selection by the media...ACC All-Academic Football Team honoree...started all 13 games, making 12 starts at safety and, in a specialized package, one at linebacker in Pitt's Little Caesars Pizza Bowl victory over Bowling Green...team's second-leading tackler with 83 stops and added three TFLs and 1.5 sacks...led Pitt in interceptions with three and ranked second with six pass breakups...also had two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery...named ACC Defensive Back of the Week for his role in Pitt's 28-21 victory over Notre Dame...in addition to his seven tackles, Vinopal had a hand in each of Notre Dame's three turnovers by making two interceptions and forcing a fumble...his initial big play came in the second quarter when he stripped Irish receiver T.J. Jones of the ball at the Pitt 6 and it was recovered by cornerback Lafayette Pitts...in the decisive final period with the score tied, 21-21, Vinopal halted an Irish drive by intercepting Tommy Rees in the end zone with 14:04 remaining...less than four minutes later, Vinopal picked off Rees again, returning it 40 yards to the Irish 5 to set up Pitt's winning touchdown...playing linebacker in a specialized package vs. Bowling Green, Vinopal collected a career-high 11 tackles and added a three-yard sack in the Panthers' 30-27 bowl victory...had eight tackles, 1.5 TFLs and a sack assist at Syracuse, a 17-16 win...had seven stops (all solo), a forced fumble and fumble recovery vs. North Carolina.

2012: Played in all 13 games, starting one contest (Youngstown State) in his first active season at Pitt...totaled 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks on the year...had a season-high four tackles and a sack vs. Buffalo...Big East All-Academic Football Team honoree.

2011: Sat out the season under NCAA guidelines after transferring from Michigan...named to the Big East All-Academic Football Team.

AT MICHIGAN (2010): Played in all 13 games, starting six contests at safety as a true freshman...totaled 33 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception and three pass breakups on the year...had a season-high seven tackles against Illinois and Purdue...made his first career start at Penn State and had six tackles...started the Gator Bowl against Mississippi State and had six tackles...had his first career interception against Bowling Green, returning it 32 yards.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter for perennial Ohio power Cardinal Mooney...selected first team Associated Press Division III All-Ohio...first team Northeast Lakes All-District...SuperPrep All-Midwest Team...posted 84 tackles, 16 pass breakups, four interceptions, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries as a senior...as a running back, rushed for 970 yards and scored 10 touchdowns...his junior year, rushed for 1,112 yards on offense and compiled 78 tackles, 11 PBUs and three interceptions on defense...led team to the Ohio Division III state championship and a 15-0 record as a senior...the Cardinals finished as the state runner-up his sophomore year...Mooney went 38-4 (.905) during his three years as a starter...played under Coach P.J. Fecko...also an all-state sprinter...ran on Mooney's two-time state champion 400-meter relay team...National Honor Society.
