2011: Played in 11 games, starting the last eight contests of the season (five at left guard and three at right guard)...was thrust into a prominent role when starting senior right guard Lucas Nix was injured early in the Sept. 29 USF game...came off the bench against the Bulls and helped Pitt rack up 523 yards in the 44-17 victory...made his first career start the following week at Rutgers and did not leave the starting lineup for the balance of the season.
