2016: Transitioned from defensive end to defensive tackle...played in all 13 games, starting 12...finished second on the team in TFLs (10) and sacks (4.5)...had 46 total tackles...had a career-high eight tackles with two TFLs against Georgia Tech...had seven stops, two TFLs and a four-yard sack vs. Syracuse...had four tackles, two TFLs and a seven-yard sack against Penn State...selected to play in the College Gridiron Showcase all-star game.

2015: Played in all 13 games, making three starts at defensive end...totaled 23 tackles, three TFLs, two sacks and a blocked kick...had a season-high seven tackles against Navy in the Military Bowl...played a key role in Pitt's 31-28 win at Georgia addition to his four tackles (all solo) and nine-yard sack, Soto blocked a 50-yard field goal attempt by the Yellow Jackets on the final play of the second quarter, maintaining a 21-21 halftime tie...starting assignments came against Youngstown State, Syracuse and North Carolina.
