PITTSBURGH - Former Pitt cornerback Antwuan Reed has been selected to participate in the 2012 Casino Del Sol College All Star game to be held on January 16 at in Kino Stadium in Tucson, Ariz., at 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports Arizona.
Reed (Johnstown, Pa./Greater Johnstown) will suit up for the Stars (East) squad and is expected to wear a number 22 jersey.
In 2011, Reed was named to the All-Big East Second Team, finishing the season with 30 tackles and a team-best seven pass break-ups. Additionally, he recovered three fumbles, returning one against Syracuse 20 yards for a touchdown.
Former Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt will lead the Stars team. The all-star game was named the Eastham Energy College All-Star game last season in its inaugural year with the Stripes winning 40-34.
