PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh Department of Athletics has announced a new discounted football season ticket for young alumni who graduated from the university in the last three years.
"Building our base of season ticket holders and supporters is a major focus of our athletics programs," Director of Athletics Heather Lyke said. "We are continuing to evaluate and look for new opportunities to engage our recent graduates and alumni who have followed our football program and want to remain committed to supporting the team. We truly appreciate their support of Coach Narduzzi and the football team this fall."
Under the new Young Alumni program, any Pitt student who graduated from the University of Pittsburgh since 2014 with an undergraduate degree is eligible to purchase two (2) football season tickets at a 30% discount. Football season tickets under the new recent graduate program start at only $102 (regular price is $147).
“Our players consistently say they play better when Heinz Field is packed,” says head football coach Pat Narduzzi. “We need our young alumni to bring the same passion and excitement every Saturday to Heinz Field, just as they did when they were in The Panther Pitt.”
All seats at Heinz Field are eligible for the 30% young alumni program discount. The discount is only valid on the price of the ticket, not any Panther Club donations (if applicable). Recent graduates will have the opportunity to renew the same seat location for future years, including next season when the Panthers host Penn State on September 8, 2018.
A similar young alumni program for 2017-18 men’s basketball season tickets will be released later this summer.
