PITTSBURGH--Pittsburgh's illustrious football championship history will be proudly on display this Saturday, Sept. 5, at Heinz Field prior to the Pitt Panthers' 2009 season-opening game against Youngstown State.

On display in Heinz Field's Coca-Cola Great Hall beginning at 11 a.m. will be the Panthers' nine national championship trophies and the Pittsburgh Steelers' six Super Bowl championship Lombardi Trophies for fans to view and photograph.

Legendary Pitt coach John Majors, who led the Panthers to the 1976 national title, will be on hand to sign autographs from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Panthers rank sixth all-time among Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools with nine national titles. The Steelers are tops in the National Football League with six Super Bowl championships.
