PITTSBURGH—Pitt starting quarterback Tom Savage, who did not finish Saturday’s game against Virginia after reporting concussion-like symptoms in the fourth quarter, is expected to be ready to play in the Panthers’ Oct. 12 contest at Virginia Tech.
Since Saturday, Savage has shown only mild symptoms and continues to make progress on a daily basis.
Pitt (3-1, 2-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) has an open date this week before traveling to Virginia Tech (4-1, 1-0).
