PITTSBURGH -

Coach Dave Wannstedt and the Pitt Panthers traveled to El Paso Friday morning in preparation for the 75th Brut Sun Bowl. The team was treated to music and fanfare provided by bowl officials as a mariachi band and Viva! El Paso dancers were present at the airport to welcome the team to West Texas.

Upon arrival, the Panthers participated in a brief conditioning session at a local high school. The evening was capped off with a barbeque dinner at Sunland Barbeque where both Pitt and Oregon State players and staff took part in festivities.

Players will resume preparations Saturday morning for their Dec. 31 meeting with Oregon State. The contest will be broadcast live on CBS at 2:15 p.m. EST. For more information on the Brut Sun Bowl, please visit Bowl Central at www.pittsburghpanthers.com.
