Dickenson Adds More Academic Accolades

Senior Julian Dickenson is the first Pitt men's soccer player named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team since 2004.

2004: DeCato appeared in 13 games and started eight times for the Panthers in 2004, playing in seven of the Panthers' 10 Big East contests...complemented his good defense by registering four shots on the season, and two assists (vs. Marshall, at West Virginia) for a total of two points.

2003: Appeared in 11 games and started seven as a redshirt freshman in 2003...registered seven shots and scored two goals (both coming in a 3-3 tie at West Virginia).

2002: Did not see any action as a true freshman and was redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Led Arlington High School to the 1999 league, section and state championships...scored 23 goals and registered 18 assists in four-year career at Arlington...two-time All-League selection...garnered All-Section honors as a junior...led Arlington to a four year record of 69-9-4...Poughkeepsie Journal All-Star as a captain in 2001...member of the F.C. Westchester soccer club for three seasons...led F.C. Westchester to a national title in 2000 and a state championship in 2001...2001 Empire State Games bronze medalist.

PERSONAL: Born May 19, 1984...son of David and Patricia DeCato...has two sisters...neuroscience major.
