2000: Peter Veltri had a breakthrough junior campaign at forward...started a career-high seven games while playing in 17...scored his first career goal in a 4-1 win at St. Francis (PA) (Sept. 6)...also scored two game-winning goals on the year against Georgetown (Oct. 7) and Cleveland State (Oct. 25)...recorded his only assist of the season on a Josh Whitham goal in the first game of the season at Bucknell (Sept. 1)...finished the year with a career-high seven points and 23 shots on goal.

1999: Contributed in 15 games for the Panthers throughout the season...earned the starting nod in two games, including Seton Hall (Sept. 19) and Robert Morris (Sept. 28)...recorded his first career point on an assist in Pittsburgh's 2-0 shutout win over Duquesne on Oct. 6...also had 10 shots on goal...a University Scholar-Athlete and Big East Academic All-Star.

1998: Contributed in 15 games during the season...got the starting call in games against Quinnipac on Sept. 6 and Robert Morris on Sept. 9...posted seven shots on goal...named as a University Scholar-Athlete.

1997: Did not see any action due to a redshirt season.

High School: Earned three letters in soccer and two in track at Trinity High School...was twice named All-Section 7 and All-WPIAL...a Who's Who Among High School Athletes...led his team in goals twice and assists once.

Personal: Born Aug. 7, 1979...son of Salvatore and Janis Veltri...has one sister...an information sciences major.
