SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Pitt men's soccer team suffered its worst loss of the season, dropping a 7-1 decision at No. 10 Notre Dame on Wednesday night at Alumni Stadium.
Redshirt freshman Ryan Myers tallied the Panthers' (6-4-2, 0-3-0 Big East) lone score in the 59th minute. Pitt trailed 3-0 at the half and fell behind 4-0 before getting on the board on the second goal of the season for Myers.
For the Irish (9-2-0, 1-2-0), Danny O'Leary and Ryan Finley each had two goals.
UND registered 36 shots to Pitt's 11 strikes.
The Panthers travel to Seton Hall on Saturday, Oct. 6, looking to snap its four-game skid. The Pirates posted a 2-1 win over Providence this evening. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Owen T. Carroll Fifeld in South Orange, N.J. A live video feed of the game will be available via the Seton Hall Athletics website.
