CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-- Pitt men's soccer dropped a tough ACC match against the Virginia Cavaliers by a score of 5-0 Friday night at Klockner Stadium.
The Panthers (0-6-2, 0-5-0 ACC) found it tough to muster any offense throughout the game as they were outshot 17-2 by Virginia (6-3-1, 2-2-1 ACC). Both shots for the Panthers came off the foot of sophomore forward Nick Wysong.
Freshman goalkeeper Braden Horten made his collegiate debut in the second half and finished with one save and one goal against.
The Cavaliers were led by freshman forward Riggs Lennon who netted two goals on the night including the game-winner which came in the 10th minute.
The Panthers return home for a contest with the Virginia Tech Hokies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8th at Ambrose Urbanic Field. Watch the game live on ESPN3.
