Three Pitt Men's Soccer Games to Air on ESPN3

Aug. 8, 2013

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh men’s soccer team will have three of its matches air live on ESPN3, the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) announced today. All three games will also be available on computers, smartphones and tablets via WatchESPN.

“This is yet another positive step forward for the University of Pittsburgh and our athletic program,” said head coach Joe Luxbacher. “To televise three of our matches live, against top teams from within the ACC, will increase our visibility as a program and also provide our team with an exciting opportunity to compete in front of a large audience against nationally ranked soccer programs.”

The Panthers’ home contests with Wake Forest (9/21), Virginia Tech (10/8) and North Carolina (10/26) will all be covered live. Additionally, the ACC Championship game will be carried live on ESPNU and both semifinals will be shown on ESPN3.

Pitt opens its 2013 campaign with an exhibition at California (Pa.) on Wednesday, August 21. The regular season kicks off on Friday, August 30, when the Panthers host Oakland in a 7:30 contest at Ambrose Urbanic Field.
