PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh men's soccer team plays its final regular season game of the season, hosting Notre Dame on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at Ambrose Urbanic Field.
The Panthers (4-10-1, 2-4-0) will recognize its six seniors - Terry Akpua, Ryan Brode, Andy Clifford, Shane Flowers, Hami Kara and Sam Luffy -prior to the contest (6:40 p.m.). This season marked the inaugural campaign at Petersen Sports Complex. Pitt is 3-6-0 at home this season.
Saturday's game is the 16th meeting between the teams with the Irish holding a 9-3-3 series record. The last Panthers win came in 2002, a 1-0 overtime win in South Bend, Ind.
The Irish (6-3-4, 2-2-1) have been idle since Oct. 15 and a 3-0 victory over Georgetown. The Notre Dame-Seton Hall contest that was slated Wednesday was postponded due to weather.
Pitt dropped a 1-0 decision to Providence on Tuesday evening.
