PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh men's soccer team (0-8-4) will host North Carolina (5-3-5) in an ACC showdown at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, at Ambrose Urbanic Field. The game is available on ESPN3.
Pitt is coming off a 2-0 loss at Clemson. Dan Lynd played admirably in net for the Panthers making seven saves in front of the Tigers hostile crowd.
Lynd has led the Panthers between the pipes ranking first in the ACC with 69 saves and a 5.75 saves per game mark.
North Carolina is coming off of a 1-0 loss to UNC Wilmington this past Tuesday. For the year, the Heels have been led on offense by Tyler Engel, who has four goals and 10 points, and Raby George, who has seven points on three goals and an assists.
This season Brendan Moore has started every game in goal for UNC. Moore has a 0.63 GAA and 44 saves in 1290:11 minutes of action.
This will mark the first meeting between the Heels and the Panthers.
