PITTSBURGH - The University of Pittsburgh men’s soccer team (0-10-4/0-8-2 ACC) will host Howard (1-15-0) in a nonconference showdown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, at Ambrose Urbanic Field. The match will mark the Panthers final home contest of the year.
Pitt is coming off a 3-0 loss at home against Duke. Dan Lynd played admirably in goal for the Panthers with eight saves.
Lynd has led the Panthers between the pipes ranking first in the ACC with 77 saves and 5.92 saves per game.
Howard is coming off of a 2-1 loss to the Virginia Military Academy on November 2. For the year, the Bison have been led on offense by Fredrick Todd III, who has three goals and seven points, and Mario Martin, who has five points on two goals.
This season Eric Hamilton has played a majority of the minutes in goal for the Bison. Hamilton has a 2.57 GAA and 90 saves in 1329:18 minutes of action.
This will mark the seventh meeting between the Bison and the Panthers. Pitt leads the all-time series 4-2 including a 1-0 victory last season.
