2010-11: Indoor T/F- Finished eighth overall at Big East Indoor Championships in weight throw with a career best toss of 16.82 meters. Outdoor T/F - Finished second in hammer throw (49.38m) and thirdin discus (46.88m) at MSU Legacy. Both throws were career bests.
2009-10: Indoor T/F- Finished 15th overall at Big East Indoor Championships in weight throw (15.76m). Outdoor T/F- Finished 12th at Big East Outdoor Championships in discus (46.24m).
2008-09:Outdoor T/F - Kurt Barnhart finished 15th in the discus at the Big East Championships...threw for fifth place with a mark of 42.82 meters at the Fred Hardy Invitational...took seventh out of 33 in the discus at the Aggie Relays.
High School: Barnhart's team won the District Championship his freshman year...high school team qualified for districts all four years that he was on the team...O.C.C champs his freshman and junior years...captain of his team as a junior and senior...a six-time scholar athlete...Barnhart was also a two-year letterman for his school's football team.
Personal: Born August 25, 1989...son of David and Jackie Barnhart...has one brother, J.R. and one sister, Joanna...majoring in political science.
