Assistant track and field coaches Kia Davis and Alonzo Webb III are moving up in the ranks.
Brundage joins Panthers from Troy University
Assistant Coach Alonzo Webb III enters his third year at Pitt. Webb's primary duties including working with the jumpers and multi-event athletes.
Webb's athletes have experienced nothing but success since he has been on the coaching staff, as the combined 17 athletes he has worked with over the past two seasons all qualified for the Big East Championship Meet.
Last season, Webb guided three of those athletes to top five finishes at the Big East Indoor Championship Meet. Webb helped Reggie Steele place third at the IC4A Championships in the long jump and qualify for the NCAA Outdoor National Championship meet. Webb also saw high jumper Luke Gallaher earn a spot USA Junior National Team.
In his first season with the Panthers, Webb had all nine of his athletes reach the Big East Championship Meet, including Ashley Corum winning the triple jump as a freshman. He then had five of his athletes qualify for the IC4A Championships, while one of them went on to reach the NCAA Championships and two qualified for the USA Junior National Championships.
Webb was a member of the Pitt track and field team while in school. He graduated in 2010.
