SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Brycen Spratling ran a season-best 45.92 in the 400 meter dash at the Alex Wilson Last Chance Meet and now ranks fourth in the nation heading to the NCAA Championship Meet next weekend hosted by the University of Arkansas.
Spratling won the meet and was one tenth of a second off of his own school record. Carvin Nkanata placed eighth with a 46.97 and will run in the NCAA's as his time of 46.31 at the SPIRE Invitational lasy month ranks him 13th. The top 16 times in the nation will compete in Fayetteville.
Spratling and Nkanata, along with Olivier Philogene and Micah Murray finished third in the 4x400 meter relay behind Florida State and LSU with a time of 3:07.42. They rank 10th in the nation and will run at the championship meet next weekend.
