Spratling ran a 46.59 and finished 4th in his heat

EUGENE, Ore. - Junior Brycen Spratling earned Second Team All-American status by finishing 16th overall in the 400 meter dash on Wednesday at the NCAA National Championship Meet on the campus of Oregon.
Spratling ran a time of 46.59 and finished fourth in his heat. Deon Lendore of Texas A&M won the heat (45.36) and Hugh Graham Jr. (Florida) received the other automatic qualifier into the finals from heat two with a time of 45.56. Kyle Clemons (Kansas) was third in a time of 46.01.
Spratling will be back in action tomorrow evening when he runs in the 4x400 meter relay at 6:40 p.m. PST. The Panthers will also have Elizabeth Kline compete in the first four event of the heptathlon beginning at 1 p.m., and Carvin Nkanata in the 200 meter dash at 4:15 p.m. PST.
