PITTSBURGH -

The men's and women's indoor track and field squads return to competition tomorrow in N.Y. at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational.

Antony Hobwana has already compiled a long list of qualifications that he has already met this season. Hobwana (Hrare, Zimbabwe/Prince Edward School), has qualified for the Big East in the 60 meter dash, 200 meter dash and the long jump. He has also garnered a qualifying time for the IC4A in the 60 meter dash.

Junior Eric Jones and sophomore Brandon Turner will both compete in the long jump and triple jump events this weekend. Both Jones (Pittsburgh, Pa./Gateway) and Turner (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) have both qualified for the Big East and IC4A in the triple jump while Jones looks to add on to his qualifications for the Big East in the long jump.

For the women, Shantea and Shanea Calhoun have both recorded Big East and ECAC qualifying times in the 200 meters and the 1600-meter relay. The Calhoun sisters both competed on the 1600-meter relay team that recorded a time of 3:45.64 at the Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial, surpassing the ECAC qualifying mark in that event.

Shantea Calhoun (New Haven, Conn./Wilbur Cross) leads the Panthers for the times she recorded in the 60 meters and 200 meters, registering Big East and ECAC qualifying times.

Senior Martina Hallman (Miami, Fla./Miami Southridge) reached Big East and ECAC qualifying marks in both the long jump and triple jump with distances of 5.72 meters and 11.75 meters, respectively. Hallman will join the Calhoun sisters as a member of the 1600-meter relay team at this weekend's meet.

Leading the Panthers in the triple jump is junior Janessa Murphy (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) who registered a distance of 5.92 meters at the Penn State Open. Her performance was a qualifying distance for both the Big East and ECAC Championships.

Murphy will also be competing in the 60 meters and the long jump, where she has also registered qualifying marks and times.
