GREENSBORO, N.C. – After a week off from competition, the University of Pittsburgh track and field team is back in action this weekend at the Aggie Invitational and the Bison Classic.

The sprinters and field athletes will participate at the Aggie Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T at the Irwin Belk Track. The meet is set for this Friday and Saturday, April 12-13. The distance runners will head to the Bucknell Bison Classic this Saturday and Sunday, April 14-15, at the Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, Pa.

In North Carolina, Pitt will have its full roster in action, including Big East Indoor Individual Champions Brycen Spratlin, Carvin Nkanata, Jonnique Lawrence and Elizabeth Kline.



Highlighting the field events will be Brett Millar who looks to win the javelin in his third-consecutive meet, and Andrew Wells who will try to break his own school record in the discus and establish a new school record in the hammer throw. At the Bison Classic, the Panthers will send five male distance runners, along with Stephen Goeltz and Brad Rocco to compete in the pole vault. The women will have 19 runners in action, nine of which will run the 5,000 meter event. Click here to see a full list of participants for the Bison Classic.
