Pittsburgh Track and Field Teams Travel to New Brunswick for the Big East Championships

Last year, the women placed third and the men placed eighth.

PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh’s track and field teams travel to New Brunswick, NJ this weekend to compete in the Big East Championships.

Last year the women placed third, while the men finished eighth. Tamara McGill (Franklin Park, NJ/Franklin Township) won the honor of Most Outstanding Field Performer after she won the heptathlon with 5,240 points, breaking the conference record. Elizabeth Bayne (Hampton, Va./Kecoughtan) captured the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 57.57, while Marissa Dudek (Pottstown, Pa./St. Pius X) won the pole vault with a score of 3.80.
