EUGENE, Ore. - After a full day of travel on Monday, the Panthers took the track Tuesday afternoon for practice before competition on Wednesday at the NCAA National Championship Meet at Hayward Field on the campus of Oregon.
Brycen Spratling will be in action on Wednesday as he competes in the semifinals of the 400 meter dash at 5:15 p.m. PST (8:15 p.m. EST). Spratling will be in Heat 2 and will run out of lane eight. The top two athletes from the three heats will advance to the finals, along with the next two fastest times. Spratling will run against Hugh Graham Jr. (Florida), Patrick Feeney (Notre Dame), Daundre Barnaby (Mississippi State), Deon Lendore (Texas A&M), Clayton Parros (North Carolina), Kyle Clemons (Kansas) and Zack Bilderback (Texas) in Heat 2.
Thursday will see all the Panthers in action as the semifinals of the 200 meter dash and of the 4x400 meter relay are scheduled, as well as the first four events of the heptathlon which Elizabeth Kline will participate in.
Weather Report: The forecast is beautiful for the week. It was low 80's on Tuesday and it is scheduled to stay the same for the remainder of the week.
Fans can watch the National Championship Meet in a variety of ways. On Wednesday, the meet will be available on Oregon's website (www.goducks.com). Thursday's action can be seen on ESPN3, and both Friday and Saturday's action will be on ESPNU.
