Justin Clickett to Represent Pittsburgh and the United States at the IAAF World Junior Championships

Clickett owns the sixth-best throw for juniors in the world with a toss of 19.38 meters.

PITTSBURGH — University of Pittsburgh men’s track and field sophomore, Justin Clickett, is heading to Grusseto, Italy, to represent Pittsburgh and the United States in the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Junior Championships.

According to the IAAF website, Clickett (Union City, Pa./Union City) is ranked sixth-best for juniors in the world for shot put after throwing 19.38 meters at the U.S. Junior Nationals last week in College Station, Texas. This past year, Clickett was a top Pittsburgh finisher in the Big East Championships, taking fourth in shot put with a throw of 16.38 meters.

The IAAF Championships will be held July 13-18.
