2004-05: Ronald Tarquinio recorded 26-8 for the season...won 11 of 15 dual matches...competed in and placed second at the Michigan State Open...defeated Mike Simpson of Indiana to win the Mat Town Invitational...defeated Leforge of Hofstra to win the Las Vegas Invitational...placed second in the EWL Championships and earned a spot in the NCAA Championship tournament.
2003-04: Tarquinio was an EWL Champion and an NCAA qualifier at 141 pounds, joining Josh Birt as the first league titleists for Pittsburgh in three seasons...finished with 26 victories in 38 bouts...placed in three regular-season tournaments, including the Mat Town Invitational (second), Beast of the East (third) and the Michigan State Open (fourth)...won 10 of his 14 dual bouts as a sophomore.
2002-03: Tarquinio qualified for the NCAA Championships as a wild card in his first season as a starter for the Panthers...finished fourth at the EWL Championships at 141 pounds and won his first nationals match in the first round of consolations, topping Frank Edgar of Clarion, 5-3...placed second at the season-opening Michigan State Open...finished sixth at the Mat Town Invitational on Nov. 30...won nine of 13 dual matches, one of only two Panthers to appear in every dual meet...had six major decision victories and one fall for the year.
2001-02: Completed one of the most successful true freshman campaigns in recent Pittsburgh history with a 25-9 mark in tournaments while being redshirted...finished with six major decisions, two falls, and one technical fall...finished third at the Slippery Rock Open with a 6-1 mark...finished fifth at the Penn State Open, Wilkes Open, and Cleveland State Open...finished the year by placing fourth at the Edinboro Open...won 15 of 16 matches from Nov. 17 to Dec. 28.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-time section champion at West Allegheny High School...won WPIAL title as a senior in 2001...a four-time state qualifier...placed fifth as a sophomore and third as a senior at state championships...had a career record of 150-19...his 150 victories place him among the top 10 on the state's career win list...won the 2001 Freestyle Junior National championship.
