2010-11: Received an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships after taking fourth in the EWL tournament...Went 1-2 at nationals and finished the season with a 19-19 record ...Had wins over No. 9 Jason Welch (Northwestern) 8-4 and No. 17 Matt Cathell (Kent State) 13-4...Placed fourth at the Clarion Open with a 2-2 record...Placed eighth at the Midlands Championships, going 4-3...Was 6-5 against EWL opponents...Had two pins, two technical falls and five major decisions.
2009-10: Jumped into the lineup midway through the season and contributed a 7-6 record for the Panthers ...Won his first match of the season with a 5-4 overtime decision to Matt Dunn of Columbia...Concluded the season winning three out of four matches including an important 7-6 decision over Johnny Greisheimer of Edinboro in the EWL title-deciding match...Finished fifth in the EWL Championships by recording victories over Seth Creasy of Lock Haven 10-1 and Corey Carlo of Cleveland State 6-4.
2008-09: Competed in one tournament at 149 pounds before suffering season-ending injury...tallied three bonus point wins at the Eastern Michigan Open, including two third-period falls and a major decision.
High School: As a senior, registered a 41-5 record at Belle Vernon under coach Mel Gray...tallied a 133-20 career record to lead his school's all-time win list...was the first Belle Vernon wrestler to become a three-time state qualifier and to win WPIALs...a two-time PIAA state medalist, finishing in fourth place in 2008 and fifth place in 2007...twice secured section championships and Westmoreland county titles... recorded a total of 73 falls to set a school record in number of pins...selected to the 2008 Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic WPIAL team, where he received the Turning Point of the Match Award...clinched second place at the 2007 POWERade tournament...A two-time place winner at Nationals, taking eighth in the senior division in 2008 and second in the sophomore division in 2006...Chosen as team captain for two years...Three-time Pennsylvania Academic All-American...Selected to the NHSCA national all-academic team in 2007...Received the Inspirational Athlete Award and the US Army Student Athlete Award...Competed in football and served as team captain in track...Member of the National Honor Society.
