WRESTLING HEADS TO CLARION FOR ANOTHER LEAGUE DUAL MEET
Feb. 6, 2007 PITTSBURGH - The Pitt wrestlers are heading to Clarion for a dual meet on Tuesday, Feb. 6. The Panthers (6-5, 1-2 EWL) are coming off a league loss to West Virginia, and the Golden Eagles (7-9, 0-3 EWL) have loss their last five duals, including three conference meets. None of the wrestlers projected for this evening went head-to-head in last year's dual, but the Panthers have five wrestlers coming off wins from Friday including Brad Gentzle (Easton, Pa./Easton) at 125 pounds. He scored the Panthers' only bonus points against the Mountaineers, earning a major decision. Tonight he'll face either Patrick Feeley or Toby Seger. Drew Headlee (Waynesburg, Pa./Waynesburg), Sean Richmond (Emmaus, Pa./Easton) and Keith Gavin (Factoryville, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) are all 3-0 in EWL matches. Headlee is slated to wrestle Sal Lascari, a Slippery Rock transfer. Richmond will face Mario Morelli who holds a 13-8 record. Gavin will wrestle Dominic Ross who's 13-10 on the season. Clarion holds the lead in the series with the Panthers at 21-14 with three ties. The last Pitt win was 31-19 last season, and the last Clarion win was in the 2000-01 season when they defeated Pitt 32-5. Below are projected lineups for this evening:
