CLARION, Pa. - Pitt volunteer assistant wrestling coach Bryan Stout will be inducted into the Clarion University Sports Hall of Fame. Stout joins four other members as the 19th Hall of Fame Class.

Stout wrestled for Clarion from 1994-97 at 190 pounds and heavyweight and is the school's only four-time All-American. After being named the Eastern Wrestling League's Freshman of the Year in 1993-94, Stout went on to win two EWL titles. He was also a three-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference finalist, winning two PSAC titles. A 190-pounder for his first three years at Clarion, Stout moved up to heavyweight in his senior season. Stout was honored by the league in 2005 as an inductee into the EWL Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Stout has contributed five seasons of volunteer coaching with the Panthers' staff. He is primarily responsible for training the upper weight classes for Head Coach Rande Stottlemyer. In 2005, Stout helped coach Zach Sheaffer to an EWL Championship in his first season with the Panthers.

Induction ceremonies are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 4. Tickets available by calling 814-393-1989.

NOTE--Other Clarion Hall of Fame Inductees include Shannon (Coakley) Gallagher, Patrick L. Kiehl, James M. Miller and Christopher Roosevelt.
