Pitt wrestling head coach Rande Stottlemyer Wednesday announced his early signing class for 2010. The class includes Jordan Moss (Sharon, Pa.), Max Thomusseit (Saint Paris Graham, Ohio), Tyler Wilps (Chartiers Valley, Pa.) and Zane Yocco (Brandywine Heights, Pa.).

Moss is currently ranked as the No. 8 wrestler in the country at 140 by W.I.N. Magazine, but is expected to wrestler at 157 at Pitt. At the Pennsylvania state championships, Moss has finished fourth in 2007, won the title in 2008 and finished third in 2009.

Thomusseit, ranked as the No. 28 overall recruit in the country by Intermat and No. 5 at 189, is expected to wrestle at either 184 or 197 for the Panthers. Thomusseit’s Ohio state tournament history includes a seventh place finish in 2007, third in 2008 and a championship title in 2009. Thomusseit is the brother of current Pitt wrestler and 184-pounder, Zac Thomusseit.

Wilps is expected to suit up at either 165 or 174 when arriving at Pitt. The Chartiers Valley native finished seventh in 2009 at the Pennsylvania state championships. Wilps is the brother of current Pitt sophomore and 197-pounder Matt Wilps.

Yocco, Pitt’s final signee, finished seventh two times in the Pennsylvania state championships. While at Pitt, Yocco is expected to wrestle at 133.
