No. 12 Pitt Heads to Bucknell in Final Dual of 2013

PITTSBURGH – The No. 12 ranked University of Pittsburgh wrestling team travels east to Lewisburg for a dual with in-state foe Bucknell on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m.

The dual with the Bison will be streamed live for free on the Patriot League Network with livestats available through Track Wrestling.  

The Panthers are coming off a week off for finals that comes after splitting duals at Maryland and Penn State. Pitt bested the Terrapins 21-12 for its first ACC win before falling at Penn State in front of a crowd of 15,996.  

The Panthers currently have four wrestlers – Anthony Zanetta (125), Shelton Mack (133), Tyler Wilps (174), Max Thomusseit (184) – ranked in the latest Amateur Wrestling News individual poll.

Bucknell is coming off losses at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. On the season, the Bison have wins over Shippensburg and Lehigh. Heavyweight Joe Stolfi is the lone Bucknell wrestler ranked by AWN but three additional Bison have over 10 wins on the season.

The match on Saturday will mark the first meeting all-time between the two Pennsylvania schools.
