Pitt is hosting its annual Girl Scout Day for the Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania on Saturday, January 21 when the Pitt Women's Basketball team tips-off against West Virginia at 2 p.m. ESPN GameDay will be live at the Petersen Events Center starting at 10 a.m. (doors open at 8:30 a.m.) and all are welcome to come early for this exciting event.
This year, Pitt and the GSWPA have partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project to honor those that have been injured in service. All Girl Scouts in attendance can participate in a fun and meaningful activity to pay tribute to these veterans. For the activity, Scouts can join their troop in creating a gift package to bring to the game for the Wounded Warriors. Drop off locations will be available throughout the Petersen Events Center. All scouts who attend this special event have the opportunity to earn a patch. Join Pitt, the GSWPA, and the Wounded Warrior Project in honoring heroes!
