Karlyle Lim played in 28 games as a reserve point guard, making a start in the USF contest, where she scored five points on 2-of-2 shooting...tallied 18 assists and three steals on the season...recorded a rebound, an assist and a steal in the win over Cincinnati during the Big East Championships...dished out a season-best-tying three assists in eight minutes vs. West Virginia...scored six points and added four rebounds and three assists against Louisville...came back from a concussion to play 11 minutes vs. Marquette...recorded her first steal of the season in seven minutes of action against San Diego State...made a key basket as the shot clock expired and had an assist in nine minutes in the win over Pepperdine...converted her first two free-throw attempts of the year vs. Robert Morris and had an assist in 11 minutes...tallied a then season-best five points with two rebounds in 11 minutes of action in the win over Duquesne...scored two points in 10 minutes of action in the Pitt Thanksgiving Classic win over Towson....hit a three-pointer in 13 minutes and added two assists and a rebound in the home opener against Akron...also connected on a three-point basket in the win over Vermont in the championship game of the TD Banknorth Classic...pulled down three rebounds and dished out two assists in the season-opening win against William & Mary.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2004-05)
Karlyle Lim played in 16 games as a freshman, starting five at point guard...averaged 20.8 minutes per game...missed 11 games with an injury to her left foot, but returned to the lineup at St. John's and played in the team's final seven contests...in her first game back against the Red Storm, played in 21 minutes and finished with five points and a season-best four steals...had a season-high 16 points (6-of-11 shooting) and three steals against South Carolina State...hit both of her 3-pointers and free throws and played a season-best 33 minutes...pulled down a season-high seven rebounds and added six points and four assists at home against Rutgers...started her first career game against North Carolina A&T and finished with four points, two steals and four assists... finished with six points and three assists in the regular-season finale at Providence...had four assists and five rebounds against Robert Morris.
Lim led East Chapel Hill High to a 22-6 record and the conference and sectional championships as a senior...was named the Five County Conference Player of the Year after averaging 12.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.7 steals per game for the Wildcats...earned Herald Sun Player of the Year...also named all-area player of the year...scored over 1,000 points (1,154) in her career...finished with 368 assists, 332 rebounds and 256 steals in her four years at East Chapel Hill...named all-conference the final three years of high school...earned all-area recognition as a junior and senior...was a finalist for the North Carolina 3A Miss Basketball award ...played in the Carolinas All-Star Classic...also invited to participate in the East-West all-star game...member of Team North Carolina, the Junior National Champions in 2003...a standout sprinter, long jumper and triple jumper, Lim was also the conference MVP in track and field.
