Mallorie Winn earned an additional year of eligibility from the NCAA after suffering a season-ending knee injury prior to the season...was named to the Preseason All-Big East team and was named as a Preseason Street & Smith's Terrific 10 Honorable Mention.
JUNIOR SEASON (2005-06)
Winn capped off a stellar junior campaign with WNIT All-Tournament Team and All-Big East Second Team honors...the guard played in all 33 contests, starting all but one and finished second on the team with 523 points (15.8 average)...Winn led the team in three-point field goals (59) and assists (131), ranked second in free-throw percentage (.788), third in blocks (23)...averaged 35.5 minutes per game, scoring in double figures in 28 of 33 contests...Winn had ten 20-plus scoring efforts, including a run of three consecutive to end the season in the WNIT...tallied 85 points, 20 rebounds and 17 assists in the Panthers' run to the semifinals of the WNIT, averaging 21.3 points to earn All-Tournament Team honors...scored a career-best 27 points in the WNIT quarterfinal victory over Ole Miss...scored 26 points in the return to her home state of California against Pepperdine...was named an All-Big East Second Team selection after averaging over 14 points and nearly four rebounds and four assists per game in conference play...opened the season with an MVP award at the TD Banknorth Classic and was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll on three occasions...hit 65 percent of her shots in the TD Banknorth Classic, averaging 16 points, four rebounds and five assists per game...was among the Big East's top 3-point shooters, converting on 1.8 per contest...tied a career high with nine rebounds in the Big East quarterfinal loss to DePaul...dished out a career-best nine assists in the home win over Georgetown...played all 40 minutes in the Pitt Thanksgiving Classic title game vs. Missouri and missed only five minutes of action in the four-game WNIT run...had a flair for the dramatic with three buzzer-beater jumpers vs. South Florida on Jan. 8, at Cincinnati on Feb. 4 and downing the Bulls again in Tampa on Feb. 11...was one of three captains (Cheron Taylor, Marcedes Walker) as voted on by the team members.
Mallorie Winn transferred to Pitt from Georgia Tech prior to the 2004-05 season and sat out due to the NCAA transfer rule.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2003-04)
Winn played in 18 games as a sophomore, averaging 5.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest off the bench for the Yellow Jackets...scored in double figures twice, including a 12-point effort against West Virginia on 5-of-11 shooting and a season-best 15 points in 18 minutes of action at Maryland...connected on all 10 of her free throws against the Terrapins, a career-best mark... finished the season with an 87.1 percent success rate at the free-throw line...tallied a career-best five assists at Old Dominion...also had a career-best seven rebounds vs. Florida A&M.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2002-03)
Contributed as a versatile guard in 17 games off the bench for Georgia Tech...appeared in five games before suffering a stress fracture...had her best game on the road at North Carolina, scoring 21 points in 19 minutes of action in just her second contest after returning from the injury...had six double-figure scoring efforts, including five against ACC teams...averaged 7.4 points per game to rank fifth in scoring on the Yellow Jackets...had a career-best two steals in four different contests...scored 17 points in just 22 minutes of action against Florida State, including three three-pointers.
Was a four-year starter and letter winner for Bishop's High...two year captain...as a senior, team's top scorer, averaging 16.4 points per game...led Bishop's to its sixth straight CIF-San Diego Section Division IV title as a senior, finishing with a game-high 32 points, eight rebounds and six steals...led Bishop's to the California Division IV state title in 2001.
