2000-01 Season
Jessica Ryndycz provided depth at the point in her first season at Pittsburgh behind starter Laine Selwyn...played in all 27 games, starting two...her first career start as a Panther came at Loyola Marymount (Dec. 30)...also started at Virginia Tech (Feb. 11)...scored a season-high five points versus then 12th-ranked Penn State (Dec. 16)...had season highs of four assists three times during the season - versus Robert Morris (Nov. 22), Maryland-Eastern Shore (Dec. 21) and at Youngstown State (Dec. 19)...played a season-high 23 minutes against Maryland-Eastern Shore...added a season-high two steals at California-Irvine.
At Mitchell C.C.:
Ryndycz was named an honorable mention Kodak All-America honorable mention after one season at Mitchell Community College...led her team with 5.9 assists and 3.5 steals and was the second-leading scorer with 13.4 points per game...earned first team All-Region 21 and Colonial State Athletic Conference honors...helped her team to a 29-3 record and the national tournament...selected to the All-Region Tournament team after her squad captured the district and regional championships...named first team All-New England.
High School:
Ryndycz played four seasons under Head Coach Walt Zamroz at Pennridge High...averaged 13.5 points, 5.8 assists and 3.2 steals as a senior...was a two-time all-league honoree...also earned all-league honorable mention honors in lacrosse and second team all-league in field hockey...played basketball for the Bux Mont Renegades AAU team from 1997-99.
