Selwyn gained valuable experience during her rookie campaign...shared the duties at point guard with the graduated Gina Montesano...played in every game... earned 11 consecutive starts from Dec. 4 through Feb. 12...averaged 6.3 points and was second on the team with 2.9 assists per game...was selected to play on the Big East All-Star tour of Canada this past summer and averaged 5.7 points and 1.7 rebounds...dished out a career-high seven assists against Youngstown State (Dec. 18)...recorded six assists in three different games...was Pittsburgh's top free-throw shooter in Big East games, connecting on 31-of-35 shots for a 88.6 shooting efficiency from the line...netted her first 20-point game against Georgetown with 21 points...was 7-of-10 in the game, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range...scored a then career-high 12 points in a win over Syracuse (Jan. 25) which included two 3-pointers...grabbed a career-high eight rebounds in the Jan. 8 win over West Virginia...also added five assists to the effort...nailed a key 3-pointer at Cincinnati (Nov. 28) in only her third game at Pittsburgh...the basket with 15 seconds to go tied the score at 55, and set the stage for a game-winning shot by Monique Toney ...collected 11 points at Penn State (Dec. 21)...had a 10-point performance versus St. John's (Jan. 5) to go along with five assists.
Selwyn averaged 23.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.7 steals and 8.3 assists per game as a senior...during her career, she averaged 21.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 4.1 steals per game...tallied 2,251 career points...named the Miami Herald and Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel Girls Basketball Player of the Year in 1998-99...was a two-time USA Today All-U.S.A. Basketball honorable mention (1997-98 and 1998-99)...earned 6A (the largest classification) first team All-State honors in 1998-99 and second-team honors in 1997-98...as a senior, was the runner-up for 6A Player of the Year honors...was a three-time District Player of the Year selection (1996, 1997, 1998) ...earned first team Sun Sentinal All-Broward County honors 1998-99...was a three-time Miami Herald first team All-Broward County selection (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99)...earned Orlando Sentinel honorable mention honors in 1998-99...selected to the Girls All-Southern Basketball team as a senior...was the 1998-99 high scorer in the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South All-Star game...was a three-time participant in the Kreul Classic and is the all-time leading scorer. Also holds the record for most points in a single game with 40...a four-time letterwinner in basketball, she also earned one letter each in volleyball and softball...was a three-time Most Valuable Player selection on her Coral Springs team.
