2000-01 Season
Sheila Stufflet proved to be an asset for the Panthers in her first season, providing valuable help off the bench while also cracking the starting lineup in seven contests...appeared in all 27 games...her first career start came at Loyola Marymount (Dec. 30)...had a breakthrough performance off the bench against Delaware State (Dec. 9) in which she recorded her first double-figure game with 11 points, while grabbing eight rebounds...led the Panthers in scoring in just her second career start with a season-high 15 points in a Big East matchup with Providence (Jan. 2)...grabbed a season-best and team-high nine rebounds against Georgetown (Jan. 24), including six on the offensive end...played a season-high 34 minutes in Pittsburgh's overtime victory against West Virginia (Jan. 13)...also added a season-best three assists against the Mountaineers...made her first career 3-pointer against No. 1 Notre Dame (Feb. 27)...made a season-high two steals at Boston College (Feb. 24)...chosen to represent Pittsburgh on the 2001 Big East Women's Basketball All-Star team that toured Germany over the summer of 2001.
High School:
Stufflet played four seasons at Wilson Senior High School under Head Coach Tom York...is the second-leading scorer all-time in Wilson Senior history (both men's and women's basketball) with 1,558 career points...averaged 12.5 points per game in her career and 15.7 as a senior...helped lead her team to three PIAA State AAAA Eastern semifinalist finishes in the playoffs...her team also captured three division, district and county championships...led Wilson Senior to a 32-2 overall record as a senior...named a Street & Smith's honorable mention All-American and was one of the top 25 girl's basketball recruits in Pennsylvania...earned all-county honors...selected the 1999-2000 Berks County Player of the Year...named the Cumberland Valley Tournament Most Valuable Player...earned District III All-Supreme team and Sportsfever second-team all-state honors...selected to the Associated Press fifth-team all-state team...is a member of the Berks County All-Century team...also selected first-team all-division in volleyball...member of the National Honor Society...played four years with the Philadelphia Belles AAU team...her team twice played in the Final Four of the national tournament and captured a U.S. Junior National championship and finished as the runner-up once.
