The Panthers are looking to win their third straight Big East Conference game when they battle the Hurricanes.

    THE GAME

    Pittsburgh attempts to win its third consecutive Big East Conference game as it travels to Miami for a Saturday evening matchup. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Hurricanes’ Convocation Center.

    The Panthers have won back-to-back conference games for the first time since the 1999-2000 season and are coming off a 61-56 road victory at Seton Hall on Wednesday night. The Hurricanes, ranked No. 21 in both polls, are atop the Big East with a 3-1 record after defeating Georgetown, 57-55, on Wednesday in double overtime.

    Saturday’s game marks the 24th meeting between Pittsburgh and Miami with the Hurricanes leading the all-time series, 15-8. The Panthers have dropped three straight to Miami, including a 79-76 setback last year at the Petersen Events Center. This marks the first game between the schools in the Convocation Center and Pittsburgh has not won in Miami since a 59-53 victory on Feb. 2, 1994. Miami leads the series at home, 9-1.
