THE GAME Pittsburgh attempts to win its third consecutive Big East Conference game as it travels to Miami for a Saturday evening matchup. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Hurricanes’ Convocation Center. The Panthers have won back-to-back conference games for the first time since the 1999-2000 season and are coming off a 61-56 road victory at Seton Hall on Wednesday night. The Hurricanes, ranked No. 21 in both polls, are atop the Big East with a 3-1 record after defeating Georgetown, 57-55, on Wednesday in double overtime. SERIES HISTORY Saturday’s game marks the 24th meeting between Pittsburgh and Miami with the Hurricanes leading the all-time series, 15-8. The Panthers have dropped three straight to Miami, including a 79-76 setback last year at the Petersen Events Center. This marks the first game between the schools in the Convocation Center and Pittsburgh has not won in Miami since a 59-53 victory on Feb. 2, 1994. Miami leads the series at home, 9-1.
