    THE GAME

Pittsburgh attempts to snap a two-game losing streak as it travels to St. John’s for a Saturday afternoon conference matchup. Game time is slated for 1 p.m. at Alumni Hall.

The Panthers, who have dropped consecutive games to ranked opponents, are looking to win at Alumni Hall for the first time since a 50-46 victory on Jan. 2, 1997. The Red Storm, coming off a 74-56 setback at Georgetown on Wednesday night, has lost three straight games and is 1-3 in the Big East.

    SERIES HISTORY

Saturday’s game marks the 30th meeting between Pittsburgh and St. John’s with the Red Storm leading the all-time series, 25-14. Last year, the teams split the season series as both road teams won. Pittsburgh is 4-13 all-time at St. John’s and haven’t won there since a 50-46 victory on Jan. 2, 1997.
