PITTSBURGH - Pitt women's basketball entertains Big East rival St. John's on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center. The contest will be broadcast on Pitt Panthers Television on The Comcast Network (Channels 188/210) and also can be heard on WJAS-AM 1320.

The Panthers (8-13, 0-8 Big East) are facing off with the Red Storm for the 49th time in program history. St. John's (13-8, 5-3 Big East) leads the all-time series, 32-16. The Panthers have a 10-13 record versus the Red Storm on their home court. Sixteen (16) of the last 21 meetings with St. John's have been decided by 12 or fewer points.  The teams have split the last four meetings (2-2).

Ashlee Anderson hit for 20 points last season versus St. John's (5-of-8 from 3-point range) in a 72-63 loss in Queens, N.Y. Several of the all-time individual bests in the series were set the last time the squads faced off in Pittsburgh on March 1, 2010. Chelsea Cole grabbed 16 rebounds, tied for the most ever in the series while Shayla Scott blocked five shots. St. John's point guard Nadirah McKenith had 14 assists, the most by a Red Storm player versus the Panthers.
