The Panthers (12-8-1-6 Big East) enter Tuesday's game coming off a 98-56 loss to No. 1-ranked Connecticut on Jan. 30. Shayla Scott led the Panthers with a career-tying 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field. Syracuse (16-5, 3-5 Big East) has lost four of its last five games, including a 74-73 loss to No. 3 Notre Dame on Jan. 30.
The two teams will be meeting for the 47th time overall in series history. The Orange hold a 27-19 edge in the series, but Pitt has won the last four and five of the last six, including last season's buzzer beater in the Carrier Dome.
Tuesday night's game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 970 AM with Greg Linnelli and Mike Clark sharing the calling duties.
