PITTSBURGH - The Pitt women's basketball team will travel to Albuquerque, N.M., Saturday to take on the Wyoming Cowgirls at approximately 4 p.m. EST in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game can be seen live on ESPN2.

This is the second NCAA Tournament appearance for the Panthers and just the first for 11th-seeded Wyoming, who holds a 24-6 overall record. Pitt, the No. 6 seed enters the tournament with a 22-10 record after advancing to the semifinals of the Big East Tournament.

Pitt is 1-1 in NCAA Tournament action as it defeated James Madison in the first round and fell to eventual National Champion Tennessee in the round of 32 last season. This is the Panthers' first road trip for the tournament as they hosted last year at the Petersen Events Center.

The winner of the game will take on the winner of the No. 3 seed Baylor vs. No. 14 Fresno State game, which will be played prior to Pitt's game with Wyoming. The second round matchup will take place on Monday, March 24 with possible tip off times of 8 p.m. or 10:30 p.m. EST. That game will also be broadcast on ESPN2.

Senior Mallorie Winn (San Diego, Calif./Georgia Tech/Bishop's) will be going for her 1,000th career point as she is just four away from the milestone. Wednesday, fellow senior Marcedes Walker (Philadelphia, Pa./University City) was named to the Region I State Farm Coaches' All-America Basketball Team for the second consecutive year.

Winn, Walker and the Panthers will take on Wyoming Saturday at approximately 4 p.m. EST in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and can be heard live on www.PittsburghPanthers.com as a part of All Access or locally on FOX Sports Radio 970 AM with Greg Linnelli and Jen Tuscano calling the action.
