Pitt Women's Basketball Season Tickets Go On Sale; Non-Conference Slate Announced

July 15, 2013

Coach McConnell-Serio Interview | Season Ticket Information |

PITTSBURGH - Season tickets for the 2013-14 women's basketball season officially went on sale on Monday as the non-conference slate was also released.

First-year head coach Suzie McConnell-Serio will host 16 opponents at the Petersen Events Center in the Panthers' first campaign in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The schedule is comprised of eight league games and eight non-conference tilts.

The cost for season tickets is $50 for adults and $20 for youths (2-17) and seniors (50 and over). A group plan is available for $110 (4 tickets), while the VIP Courtside seats - which sold out last season - are priced at $100. A four-game mini package is also available with a choice to pick any four games for just $20.

Season ticket holders receive special benefits including: an opportunity to be a guest coach and an invitation to a pregame `chalk talk' with Coach McConnell-Serio.

Admission is free to all University of Pittsburgh students, UPMC and University of Pittsburgh Faculty and Staff with a valid Pitt or UPMC ID.  To order your season tickets, click here.

The Panthers will get a start on the season with an exhibition contest on Nov. 3 versus California (PA).

Pitt officially opens its 2013-14 ledger at the Petersen Events Center for the fifth consecutive season, entertaining Bucknell for the team's annual School Day game.

The contest tips at 11 a.m. as the Panthers host students from over 40 elementary and middle schools in the Pittsburgh area. For more information about this game and to get your school involved, contact Ryan Maerder at 412-383-7153.

The Panthers are on the road for three of the next four games, traveling to Ball State (Nov. 14), Michigan (Nov. 20) and Loyola (Nov. 23). Pitt will host Lafayette on Sunday, Nov. 17 in the middle of that road swing.

Three-straight home games dot the schedule in late November and early December as Pitt entertains Mount St. Mary's (Nov. 26), Buffalo (Dec. 1) and James Madison (Dec. 4).

The Panthers are at Wagner on Saturday, Dec. 7 before returning home to host Old Dominion on Sunday, Dec. 15.

Pitt will compete in the Duel in the Desert in Las Vegas, Nev. from Dec. 19-21. Possible opponents in the event include DePaul, Washington, Oregon State and host UNLV.

The Panthers wrap up the non-conference portion of the schedule on Sunday, Dec. 29 at home against city rival Duquesne.

Pitt will play a 16-game ACC regular season schedule, eight home and eight away contests. The Panthers will face each of the possible 14 programs once with two rival partners they will place twice: Syracuse and Clemson.

Pitt returns five starters and its top eight scorers from a season ago.
