PITTSBURGH — University of Pittsburgh head women’s basketball coach Agnus Berenato will be hosting its inaugural Basketball 101 event, Wednesday, Nov. 4 at the Petersen Events Center from 5:30-8 p.m.

Coach Berenato’s Basketball 101 will cover topics ranging from the explanation of positions and officials’ calls to offensive and defensive plays and more. Joining Berenato will be members of her staff as well as players on the 2009-10 Panther squad.

Everyone in attendance will be treated to food and drinks on the court following registration. Drills and tours will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by open play until the final buzzer sounds at 8 p.m.

A silent auction with items provided by the Pitt Alumni Association and Athletic Department will be available for bidding with proceeds from the raffles and Silent Auction benefiting the Alumnae Council Scholarship Fund.
