PITTSBURGH - Pitt women’s basketball plays its first exhibition contest of the season on Saturday, Nov. 3, hosting Lock Haven at Noon. The contest is the only exhibition game of the season for the Panthers.
The Panthers return three starters and eight players from its roster a season ago. Head Coach Agnus Berenato begins her 10th season at the helm, seven wins away from becoming Pitt’s all-time women’s basketball wins leader.
Sophomore Brianna Kiesel, who led the team in scoring (13.6 ppg) and assists (3.0 apg) last season, was a 2012 selection to the Big East All-Freshman Team. She talked about the upcoming season on Pitt LiveWire.
Pitt kicks off the regular season on Friday, Nov. 9 with its annual School Day promotion. The Panthers take on Youngtown State in the 11 a.m. contest.
